Estonia, 6th
by: Neil Taylor
Bradt’s Estonia remains the only English-language guidebook to this Baltic destination, and this sixth edition reveals more of the country than any previous guide. Readers now discover why Miss Estonia likes antique cars, where Eiffel built before Paris, and why Edward VII could not land in Tallinn to meet Tsar Nicholas II and had instead to spend three days in the harbor. Offering extensive coverage of Estonia’s complex cultural history and its artists, writers and musicians, alongside comprehensive practical information, Baltic expert Neil Taylor proves that there’s much more to Estonia than the cobbled streets and cafés of Tallinn.

Flashes in the Night: The Sinking of the Estonia
by: Jack A. Nelson
Flashes in the Night captures the tragic story of the sinking of M/S Estonia in dark, cold Baltic waters on September 28, 1994. Caught in a storm during an overnight trip between Tallinn, Estonia, and Stockholm, Sweden, the ship sank in a matter of minutes. Debate continues over whether the cause was structural or sabotage, but the fact remains 852 souls were lost at sea in Europe's worst civilian disaster. Nearly one-third of those who escaped the ship died of hypothermia. A twenty-nine-year-old Swedish entrepreneur and a pretty nineteen-year-old Swedish girl are a major focus of this dramatic account.

My Estonia: Passport Forgery, Meat Jelly Eaters, and Other Stories
by: Justin Petrone
Some people have said this book is romantic and maybe it is: a young lost American college grad falls in love with an intriguing European journalist and embarks on a journey that restores his faith in himself and the world. Sure, it is romantic. But it was never easy. A foreigner arrives in the middle of a dark winter and must survive in Estonia, the "least fortunate Scandinavian country," a land where people eat blood sausage and jellied meat, drink warm bread, and are always on time; a place where every family is haunted by the past and is struggling to catch up to the present.
